Last night I was invited to dinner, at the Hotel Gran Nacional, by some Chiriquí Chatter readers from Arlington, Virginia. It had been a while since I had eaten at the Gran Nacional. I had forgotten how tasty the barbecued chicken is.

I had heard that the Hotel Panama Rey had been sold. Yesterday, I noticed that it is under renovation, so that sort of confirms the rumor. I will mis eating at Cafe Don Sui.

A while back someone had asked me about the progress of a new hotel that is being built across from Oteima. Here is a current photo. As you can see, it still has a way to go, but this appears to be the largest hotel development in David.
