Gas Prices in David – June 14, 2016

It has been a while since I posted gasoline prices. Remember that the octane rating is different in Panama than in the US. You must subtract 4 from the rating to get the US octane rating. 91 in Panama is 87 in the US. 95 in Panama is 91 in the US.

Pricing in Panama is per liter.

91 Octane (87 US) is currently $2.78/gallon.
95 Octane (91 US) is currently $2.88/gallon

  1. Care to post where the cheapest gas can be found? In my experience, it’s the two Terpel stations on the Pan Am. One at the corner of the commonly used airport road, the other at another road used for the airport, at the curve just before the (Social Security?) hospital.

  2. Since prices are regulated by the country, I buy where it is most convenient and never compare. I buy so infrequently, it just doesn’t matter. I expect I spend less than $40/month on gasoline.

  3. I am setting near Paris Texas right now, coming back to Chiriqui the 7th of July. I am paying around $2.10 a gallon for diesel. The lower octane gas is usually 20 to 30 cents lower than diesel. I just returned from the Beaumont area on the coast and it was close to $2.39 at the big truck stops down there. Later.
