I have thought and said often that if you stuck a two by four in the ground it would start growing.
This papaya tree is a good example. It started out as a seed less than a year ago. It is flourishing.
It doesn’t look like it will be long before some of the fruit will be ready to eat. I like the smaller variety of papayas. Very sweet.
It just shows you that seeds are worth saving.
wow! only one year….great results. you say the smaller ones are tastier? i have not bought any papaya @ the mercado because the ones i have had @ restaurants do no taste good. are there different types other than the smaller ones i should look for? could you be a lamb & save me a seed from yours?
