Yesterday we were invited to visit a good friend’s beach house in Las Lajas. What a great day! On the way there, we passed a large flour truck that had turned over. Flour was scattered everywhere.
It took us a little over an hour to get to the Las Lajas turnoff.
While most of the Las Lajas beach was filled with people, this almost private beach looked like the photo to the left.
With my delicate skin, I used the time to do a little reading from the comfort of a thatched area beneath some nice shade palm trees. The cool breeze was enjoyable, the conversation was enjoyable, and I didn’t get much read.
Our friend’s neighbor had a roaring fire going and all of a sudden I was surprised with the plate you see in this photo. I tell you, the Panamanian people are about the friendliest I have ever met.
As we returned to David, it was evident that nighttime celebrations were getting ready for the evening.
A great day was had by all. It just doesn’t get any better than this.
