Terraza Cafe & Deli

I had the good fortune to notice a new restaurant that has opened up close to me. It is on the street that runs behind the Super Barú supermarket. Google Map.

It is a more of a sandwich and coffee shop. However it has several other things that make it unique. They make their own breads for their sandwiches. They have pastry that will top of any coffee or tea you choose. They also have churros with various fillings. And other things.

I understand they will be having breads that you can buy and take with you.

I thought the decor was very well done. It is simple yet elegant. The design shows a lot of attention to detail.

Let me introduce you to Hector and Hayseet Damha, who are the owners and operators of this restaurant. A real charming couple and interested in you enjoying your time with them.

Here is the Restaurant Phone number 730-7070.

Their hours are as follows:
8:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Saturday
1:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday

Two of us dined and had sandwiches. I had pastrami and the other sandwich was ham. The bread was great and the seasoning on the sandwiches was perfect. The tea we had was a unique fruited flavor.

I had to follow up the meal with one of their desserts. So yummy! It was apricot based and the frosting has large pieces of white chocolate. It was really to die for.

They are just putting the final touches on the restaurant and said they would have a grand opening soon.

This is the perfect place to go when you want something light in a really comfortable setting. I will return and most likely often. If you stop in tell Hector and Hayseet you heard about them on Chiriquí Chatter.

Here are all the photos I took that day.

UPDATE: I stopped by this afternoon and had a mochachino and a piece of cake. I included them in the photos as well.

  1. We had lunch there today and of course they thought you know who was you know who! LOL A good experience that will improve once they have a menu for the sandwiches.

  2. Tried Terraza’s Deli about a month ago.We went in and tried a pastrami sandwich. Hate to be negative, but we were very disappointed. 1 slice of pastrami on a big piece of bread and it was around $6.00.
