I got caught off guard the other day. Someone asked me what Panamanian food I liked. I said I liked almost all Panamanian food and it would be easier to list what I didn’t like.

I said what I didn’t like was mondongo and tongue. The other person said he liked mondongo, but knew some didn’t. He said, “But tongue is great. Why don’t you like tongue?”

I said I didn’t want to eat anything that came out of a cow’s mouth.

He said, “Interesting. Then do you eat eggs?”
