Mercado de Pulgas

I received a request to post the following:

Many people have asked us if we made up the Spanish phrase “Mercado de Pulgas” and the answer is NO. The people in Panama have long used this phrase which translates directly into “FLEA MARKET”.
So, just to remind you that the 3rd monthly Mercado de Pulgas will take place on Sunday, July 1 between 11:30 and 2 pm.
The place is the Chiriqui Storage property just a little north of the Terpel Gas Station in Dolega.

Vendors and buyers come from David, Dolega, Potrerillos, Volcan and Boquete

We have expanded the under cover space, enlarged the parking lot, added electrical outlets, and have a plan for better parking.

Hope to see you there.

I went to the first of the Flee Market (Mercado de Pulgas), and have been meaning to post photos. Here it is, the third Sunday flee market coming, and I still haven’t posted them. As with many things lately, my good intentions got side tracked. I am going to post the photos I took Below. The highlight for me was the pulled pork BBQ sandwich I bought. It was worth the trip all by itself. In all likelihood, the flee market is even larger now.

This market occurs the first Sunday of every month.

Here is an album with some of the photos I took on the first Sunday.
