Opticas Metro Has Moved

Last Friday I was invited to the Re-Inauguration of Opticas Metro. The first Inauguration was when the business was known as Vision 20/20.

Vision 20/20 was its name when I first started going to Dra. Inez Chang for all of my optical needs.

Later, Vision 20/20 Merged with Opticas Metro of Panama City and gained the benefits of a much larger company.

This physical move to its new location provided the perfect opportunity for a Re-Inauguration celebration. It is now located in Plaza GERABER on Avenida Obaldia. Previously this was the location of Banco Nacional. Google Map.

Above is a photo of the Opticas Metro store front taken from in front of Panderia Ely ( a good place to stop after having your eye checkup). One of the most appreciated things about the new location, for me, is the parking and easy access.

Here are a couple photos of the area awaiting the arrival of the inauguration invitees.

Here is a couple photos of the receptionist area and some of the display cases. Opticas Metro is carrying a very nice selection of frames.

There is a photo of Dra. Ines office examination area in the gallery at the end of the post. The equipment is first class.

For the todays event, a buffet had been setup in the back.

Here is a photo of Dra. Ines Chang and her Verilux progressive lens provider.

To start the Inauguration, a benediction and blessing to the store’s operation was given.

There was even a little holly water sprinkled on the guests. As a side note, i got sprinkled and there was no burning sensation from the water, so I have to conclude that my exorcism was successful.

Then there was the ribbon cutting. The Alcalde of David is on Dra. Ines right.

Following the ribbon cutting, everyone took part in the buffet except me for reasons discussed in a previous post. 🙁

If you drop in to see Dra. Ines, tell her that you learned about her on Chiriqui Chatter.

  1. On Don Rays recommendation I had the pleasure of visiting Optica Metro today. To say I was satisfied would be an understatement. Dra. Ines was more than helpful. I suffer from AMD (Wet) and she made and agreed with suggestions as to the right kind of eyeglasses that would be more beneficial to me. She had the latest equipment and She is very knowledgeable in her field and it was a pleasure to visit Optica Metro, formally Optica 20/20.
