I’m Cold!

It rained all night and looks like it will rain all day. I have turned off all fans and am still cold. I bet Boquete and Volcan are REALLY cold

Looking at the heat wave in the central US, I would like to send a little of this rain their way.

Such a peaceful time and a gentle rain. It just doesn’t get any better than this.

Blood Platelets Needed Today

I just received the following emergency request.

Blood platelets needed from 6 persons today; for surgery for Lee Colligan. He had a swimming accident and is paralyzed. Telephone Sheryl Colligan 6452 1472. Hospital Chiriqui.

UPDATE July 29

OK just got an update. They got 7 platelet donors, three family members and 4 Panamanians. The surgery was postponed until today. He just went under. They flew in a surgeon from PC.

Just Sharing

The Internet helps me keep up with my grandchildren. My granddaughter Lindsay, in Austin, recently had corrective surgery on her foot to fix problems caused previously by another doctor. People who worry about healthcare in panama, just remember that all is not perfect in the US either.

Here is Lindsay getting ready for surgery. Some people are beautiful in any garb.

Here is a photo of her latest badge of growing up. This is after the cast was removed. She will have to put up with this for another 6 weeks. Continue reading if you have a strong stomach. Continue reading Just Sharing

Boquete Comes to David

The Boquete Tuesday venders meeting is coming to David on Wednesdays. Last week was a disaster because of the road construction, so yesterday was the first real event.

Hopefully next Wednesday will have an even larger number of venders.

I stopped by so Lilliam could stock up on the Finca Santa Marta organic vegetables.   Keep up with what is happening with the Finca Marta Blog.

Place your order for next Wednesday and they will bring it.

Elizabeth Worley had the following display. Continue reading Boquete Comes to David
