Just a note to let you know that we are still among the living

The 14 day cruise from Colon, Panama to Palma de Mallorca, Spain could not have been better. I can’t imagine a smoother crossing of the Atlantic. I have lots of photos. Met lots of nice people and ignored my calorie intake.

The last seven days in Rome could not have been more perfect. Everyday, except for today, has been shirt sleeve weather. Today required a coat. Rome must have more churches per square meter than any other city in the world. While I have seen pictures taken in Rome before, they don’t compare to standing next to some of the sights.

I can’t remember when I have walked so much.

Tomorrow we have a 5 A.M. wakeup call to make our 8 o’clock flight to Madrid. Four days in Madrid and then a long flight back to Panama City. It is a good thing that digital cameras have been created. My luggage would be overweight for all the rolls of film I would have to develop.

We have been having a fabulous time. I hope you have been smelling the roses as well. We only pass this way once and let’s all make it a memorable trip.
