I have been busy and have several photo stories to post, but haven’t had the time to do it yet. I will soon. I thought it might be a good time to remind everyone that December brings a higher rate of crime and it is wise to be extra careful.
I was at DoIt Center the other day just as the Police were loading an individual into their police wagon for trying to commit robbery.
Be extra careful this time of year when you remove money from the ATMs. Do it only in the daytime and never in an area that is not well lighted.
Don’t leave your car parked with a large amount of Christmas packages visible in the windows.
Be more observant of strangers in your residential area and notify the police if you are worried. In our area there has been an individual on a bicycle that has approached two people saying he was interested in some work such as cleaning around the building. He asked one lady if he could come in and use the bathroom. It was later learned that he is a well known thief.
Never open the door to talk to anyone you do not know (especially this time of year). It is always wise to practice safety, but this time of year deserves a little extra caution.
