I had a question come in today related to the 2010 David International Fair. By using Google, I was able to find that the 2010 official website is up and can be seen HERE.

In case you are interested, the fair will run from March 11 through March 21. I always try to go and take some photos. The post on the 2009 fair can be seen HERE.

We went by the fair grounds yeaterday, there was a lot of activity in there.

Thanks for the photos and the link to the fair of years past. Where exactly in David are the fairgrounds? I’ll have friends visiting, arriving on March 20, so you just provided the perfect information for what we’ll do on Sunday the 21st! Thanks!

Hi Don. If you drive down the street in front of Super 99, when you get to the corner that has El Podoroso, make a right and. Stay on this street and you will run into the fir grounds.

The fair always brings great memories to me. My first job was collecting the tickets at the entrance of the fair (15 yo) I earned $60 for the 10 days run. Another year I worked before the fair started painting buildings, stables, floors, etc. I also worked coordinating the crew selling the tickets and collecting them. I even worked on the Skate rink offered on the fair before its run. There is nothing in Panama like the David fair.
Looking forward to your pictures…do not forget you are going to get a cold one this year!

Do you know what day the horse parade (cabalgata) is this year…if it is Thursday the 18th or Friday the 19th?

I would assume the Fair’s website should have a schedule if it doesn’t now in the future.

For sure, there is always a cabalgata in the afternoon March 19 (St´Joseph´s day; he is the patron of David). If I had more info, I´d be glad to provide it.

Can someone tell me the dimensions of the Feria? its funny me being from Panama dont know… Im living far away and loved visiting everyyear…

Do you mean dimensions or directions? Size wise, it is pretty large by Panama standards.
