It had been a while since I had been to the top floor in Conway. Last week I noticed that the Coffee and Sandwich area was open and serving all sorts of goodies. Yesterday, I went back and had some of the offerings and took a couple photos.
I had written the President of CONWAY, who I had met during the grand opening and asked permission to take some more photos now that the Coffee and Sandwich area was open. He said there was no problem with my taking photos, but told me that the area is not finished and won’t look like they want it to look until much later in 2010.
None the less, I thought I would mention to you that it is open and it is a great spot for the guys to relax while the gals are off walking up and down the aisles.
Here is a photo of the current menu. I apologize for the quality of the photo, but in the plastic sleeve, I had a hard time with the glare. You can see that they are offering sandwiches, pastries and salads.
The following photo is of the pastry display.
See the bottom left pastry. It is called a Chocolate Spell (Hechizo de chocolate). I think it cast its spell and I will have to try it next time.
The one to the right is Selva Negra. I looked up a couple recipes of Selva Negra and I am going to have to try it also.
And to the far right was the cheese cake, which was American style.
Here is a photo of the order and preparation area.
This is the eating area, which has plenty of places to sit.
These lovely ladies will take your order and beautiful smiles will accompany the service.
We ordered three frappes. My toffee frappe is in the following photo.
I had to try one of the pastries and I selected the cheese cake.
I really enjoyed the cheesecake. It was very good. Unfortunately, I don’t think it was free of calories, but who counts calories anymore.
CONWAY is a short distance for me and I intend to try several other items on the menu. If you stop by CONWAY, and have a coffee or pastry, tell the ladies behind the counter that you saw them on Chiriquí Chatter and send them my regards.
