The New Beginning

Posted by Don Ray on Nov 26 2009 at 03:03 pm

Harold De Mun, better know by those of us that frequent the BOOKMARK in Dolega as Hal, is returning to his blog. Hal is an excellent writer and knows as much as any gringo living in these parts about surviving in Panama.

I am sure during his life he has had many passions, but most recently they were his dog Cody and the BOOKMARK. He was crushed when Cody died as most of are when we loose one so dear to us.

However, with that death, Hal decided to return to his blog.. He has so much to say and is such an excellent writer that I hope he can keep it up. I have known Hal since I moved to Panama and he and his BOOKMARK are a part of my life.

The BOOKMARK is a real blessing (and it is a time for Thanksgiving) to the English speaking community in Chiriquí. Many a day, I would have gone nuts with out a stash of Hal’s books to keep me company.

I kept up with Hal through his battle with cancer, which is an unbelievable story that I hope Hal will share with others. I, for one, an happy and excited to see Hal at the keyboard making some of his thoughts available for others.

I just thought I would let you know that there there is a new beginning and it is Hal’s returning to his blog. You can find Hal’s Blog here. http://booksr4reading.wordpress.com/ Welcome back to the blogging scene Hal.
