All Organized

The last time I took a photo of my local market, they were making changes and building some better areas to display the produce.

The changes have been made and all is now well organized. They currently have some interesting Christmas decorations. The large deer is about $30 and made from wood shavings.

Here are a couple more photos.

I visited with the fellow running the marker and he asked where I was from in English. He had lived in the US for the last 9 years and had returned because the work permit process had gotten tough.

He still has a wife and two young boys there and he hoped they would be able to remain because he though the opportunities for his boys would be better.

It is really good to get to know the locals. They all have stories to tell and you feel better by having more understanding of them and how they appreciate many things others take for granted.

  1. Good morning Don,
    1. Thanks for the pictures of last night´s event at the new Hotel Ciudad de David. 2. Your volunteer work is filling a gap in the community. 3.Where is your local market located?
    Have a nice day!

  2. I use the little market that is on the road to Boquete just before you get to Serviceos Chiriqui (The Suzuki dealer).

    Glad you enjoyed the photos.

  3. Don, I guess you would say I am jealous of you and those fresh looking pineapples. I have had some from Hawaii and it was like eating candy. Being grown close by maybe sure would make a difference. Got an email from Joyce Ann recently and I guess Lila’s husband is in bad shape. I don’t know any details but he isn’t taking any water or food or at least he wasn’t at the arrival of the email. I’m going to sub in the 5th grade today so I better get myself up and going. Hope you have a good day.
