No. I Did Not Forget

Today is one of those days that you remember where you were and what you were doing. In remembrance of those that lost their lives in the blasts that shook the entire world, I will pause and reflect on what was lost.

It is hard to compare the tranquility I find on this September 11th vs. the dispare I felt that day. Let us never forget.

Addendum: I just looked back and saw that the first post I ever did on Chiriquí Chatter (then chiriquichatter.com) was on September 11, 2003. At that time I spoke no Spanish and knew little about Chiriquí.

Unfortunately, I had to shut down the blog in early 2004 and was only able to reinstate it in October 2005. Not only was Chiriquí Chatter reborn in 2005, but the happiest times of my life came into being. I guess today brought back several memories.

  1. That day and where we were when we found out Jack Kennedy had been shot are woven into the American fabric for those of us of a certain age. In fact, for those of us of a certain age almost anywhere in the world connected by radio and television those two events are impossible to forget.

  2. How could I ever forget where I was on that fateful day. Not just because I was in England and was due to fly back to the U.S. on 9/12/01 but the fact that I could not get out of England for another week.
For all of the major events for the last 25 years, I can remember perfectly where I was and what I was doing.
