Restaurante El Palacio Oriental Revisited

Saturday, I tried Restaurante El Palacio Oriental for the first time since 2004. A friend recommended the Cascuela de xxxxx, where the xxxxx is what ever type of ingredients you like, pork or chicken or sea food etc. It comes out in a clay type of pot and feeds at least two. Price was $8.00.

Another had sweet and sour fish.

I thought it was OK. The restaurant was clean and has private rooms in case you have a large group that needs its own room.

For my taste, I still prefer the The Steak House for good sit down food or La Tipica for fast food on a cool day, but everyone has different tastes in Chinese food.

Give them a try and tell them you heard about them on Chiriquí Chatter.

  2. Don,
Have u been to Cafe Guari Guari? It is located in Palmara just past centro Palmara.. If not, the next time you are headed to Boquete, give it a try, they are open Tues thru Sunday… for lunch and dinner..

  3. Now you are making me feel a modicum of peckishness coming on. We go to this restaurant quite often. I always have the sweet and sour chicken w/rice and although it is a tad greasy it does last me for a minimum of two meals.

  4. We have been going to this restaurant for 4 years, it is by far the best!
My wife loves the wanton especial, it is more than you can eat, wonderful.
all our friends love the place also. We have not found anything on the menu that was not great.

  5. Hi Rodney. Thanks for dropping by CC and taking the time to leave a comment. As I said all people have different tastes in Chinese food and I guess each have their favorites.
