When I returned to David, I took a taxi home. The rates in David are more expensive, if you catch a taxi at the airport.
Two of us rode all the way from Albrook Mall to San Francisco in Panama City for $4.00.
The short ride from the airport to El Terronal cost $7.00 for two. In this case, the price of taxi’s in PC are cheaper than in David.
My eye exam was in the Clinica San Fernando in Panama City. This is a very modern and well equipped medical facility. The actual exam was done by INDELCO (Instituto de Laser y Cirugia Ocular).
I really did not know what to expect on the eye exam. Had I known more about it, I would have prepared better. The exam was basically to take photos of both eyes at 5 minute intervals after an injection of Fluorescein. Continue reading
On my trip to Panama City, I took a cab from the Albrook Mall to San Francisco. The cab driver used the new Cinta Costera, which was under construction on my last trip in December of 2008.
This new double decked expressway opened a week before my trip. The drive from Albrook Mall to San Francisco took about a third of the time it would have taken driving any other way.
I probably should have taken more photos this time, but I just didn’t think about it until we were about ready to exit the Cinta Costera. This is a very nice improvement for Panama City. I have heard that they made some mistakes, but I don’t know what they are. To me it was the best ride I have ever had on Panama City streets.
Recently, I have had a few people searching for Doctors and finding an old post that references a dead URL. I requested information from the US Embassy and received the following. Unfortunately, these are only in the Panama City area and doesn’t cover the other provinces.
