Were You Shaken Or Just Stirred?

I see that there was a pretty strong tremor (6.0 on the Richter Scale) 60 miles NE of Panama City around 1:49 AM this morning. This is the strongest and closest to Panama City that I can remember since I have lived here. I bet it was a crazy ride in some of the high rises.

I see that the Panama Instituto de Geociencias is listing it as 6.3.

    Didn’t I read somewhere that Panama doesn’t have earthquakes, maybe on one of those “Panama is a Perfect Paradise” websites?

    We sure felt it in our one-level house, woke me and the missus up shortly before 2:00 am and lasted about 10 seconds. I had felt little tremors before, but this was my first that was strong enough to make a lot of noise. We haven’t found any damage to the house.
