Robbery in Jaramillo, Boquete.
This comment came in on a previous post related to a robbery yesterday in Jaramillo. So that it gets a little more visibility, I will use this post to direct you to the comment.
In the future, if any criminal activities are written up and sent to me via the contact form, I will publish them and use the crime tags to keep all similar posts identified with the same tads.

We are sending out an attached questionnaire to anyone that would like to participate in collecting statistics on crimes in the area.
We would like to invite ALL residents from the surrounding areas to participate, including but not limited, Alto and centro Boquete, All Jaramillo, La India, La Estrella, Cielo Paraiso, Montanas Verdes, Los Molinos, Caldera, Palmira, Volcan, El Salto, Volcancito, All Potrerillos, and surrounding areas, any areas we have not mentioned from here (Boquete) to David.
The data will be used mainly to get first hand factual information from victims. We are interested in documenting any and all crimes.
This is being done in hopes that:
1. The community be well informed to what is actually going on here, in order to better secure their person and property.
2. We may send the information to local government, police and tourist officials, along with a signed petition. Make it clear to them that we, as a community know what we are facing, are not happy with this situation and it is our intention to do everything within our power to make this a safer place . We might strongly urge them to do the same.
3. We may keep track of crime trends in the area and to try to determine what works and what does not in keeping it down.
4. We might consider hiring a private detective and supplying him with as much information as possible so that we might at the very least identify perpetrators.
We realize that there are some very personal questions and some of you may be reluctant to share your experiences. That is very understandable. We will respect the privacy of those that request it.
However, we feel very strongly that the more information we can gather, will help to better protect us all.
We encourage everyone to send this out to anyone that might be able to assist in this effort.
