I just received the following email.
You can help the flood victims in the Boquete area now by donating money via Paypal. All you need to do is go to Paypal.com and email a donation to my Paypal email address using your credit card. I will then transfer the money to my trusted farm manager, in Panama, Tino (who many of you in the Boquete/David area know) and he will get the money to a Boquete non-profit organization to buy supplies.
They will then use the money to buy food and supplies, wholesale, for the victims. I am paying all Paypal and transfer fees so 100% of your donated money will get to the victims. As we gather here in the US to give thanks, let us help those less fortunate in Panama through this disaster.
Go to Paypal.com and send your donation to fordcloseouts @ gmail . com (without the spaces). Be sure to specify in the notes field that the donation is for Boquete flood relief.

I will add that I know Ron and his wife Kim. For people outside of Panama, this would be an easy way to provide some assistance.
As you can see, I was requested to post this so that you can see that donations are coming in to the Cámara de Turismo de Chiriquí. I did not translate the Spanish. That is your exercise for the day. However the photo tells the story as well.

Hola Don Ray
Could you promote this for people who would like to help the flood relief?
One of the 4 charities that will benefit from our charity auction/sale on December 7th is the Lion’s Club. The Lion’s clubs in David and Boquete are currently devoting all of their resources to flood relief. They will receive 1/4 of all auction proceeds. The other 3 charities are also involved in flood relief but not to the extent of the Lion’s Club. Therefore, if you want to help out (and have a fun day and go home with good stuff) come to the auction on December 7th at the Boquete Fairgrounds. It starts at 2 pm. We currently have more than $17,000 worth of new goods and services that will be auctioned. In addition all proceeds from the sale of baked goods, snacks, coffee, alcohol, beer, wine, organic produce, handmade indigenous crafts, books, haircuts, palm reading, 50-50 raffle, a coffee tour, etc will go into the fund.
For those of you wondering how to help . . . this is a great way.

I mentioned in a previous post that there would be a Thanksgiving Day program in Parque de Cervantes last Sunday. I got up and decided is wasn’t going to rain and made it to the park around 8:30 AM. The photos that will appear in this post will be a small portion of the photos I took. I have had a request from a Panamanian, to use my photos in his blog. When I get the address to his blog, I will put it HERE. I have added an album with all of the photos taken. You will find it HERE.
Now lets get started. You can see there is still evidence of the previous day’s and night’s rain in the following photo.

The trouble with life is there’s no background music.
I happened to be able to get a couple photos of another piece of the Vuelta Ciclística Internacional a Chiriquí. I heard the sirens sounding and thought it might be the race. Sure enough, here they come.
I don’t know if these first two are leading the pack or way behind.
