Good Stuff

I wanted to have something special for Sofia’s visit from Panama City. It had been some time since I had ordered anything from Violet Sosa in Volcan. I don’t think anything tastes better than one of Vi’s Pies.
After exchanging emails with Vi, we decided that no child could pass up a chocolate with banana cream pie. With the tasty desert taken care of, I decided some breakfast cinnamon rolls would be nice too. Lastly I thought I should try some of Vi’s meatloaf. I love meatloaf and every time I make it, it winds up being too dry.
With the order placed, now I would just have to wait for the goodies to arrive. You may remember how hard it is for me to postpone gratification.
Violet Sosa said she could meet me at El Rey about 12:30 PM. That would be four hours before Sofia would arrive. Enough time for me to stop by Arrocha and pick up a little gift.
At the appointed time, I picked up the items from Violet. My expectations were more than met.
Here is a photo of the cinnamon rolls and the pie. Both were extremely good. Sofia really liked the chocolate pie and the bananas really made it unusual. Thumbs up on both items.

Here is the meatloaf and Marinara Sauce. In my opinion, this is one of the best meat loafs I have ever had. Two thumbs up and it would be more, if I had more thumbs.

Thanks to Violet Sosa for being kind enough to bring me such delightful food all the way from Volcan. If you want to try something special to eat, I suggest you contact Vi.

Hi DR - everything looks wonderful. You’re not the first person I’ve met who’s rhapsodised over Vi’s culinary talents - and probably not the last! I hope one day to be able to sample one of the famous Vi’s Pies.
Hi DSD. In my opinion, I think the pies are great. They beat any in David that I have eaten and most in the US.
