I Am So Disappointed

Yesterday evening we went to Renegados to celebrate the one month anniversary of Ariadna’s birth. I took a lot of photos. When I put the memory in the PC this morning to move the photos into my PC, there were no photos.

I have no idea what happened.

You will just have to take my word, that it was a special evening and I was happy to be a part of it.

Apparently, it is a custom in Peru, to have a small celebration on the first week, the first month, the sixth month and first year anniversaries.

I am so sorry that the photos disappeared. This morning, my camera’s memory was as empty and my memory is most of the time. I was supposed to send the photos to David and Berta this morning. What a bummer! I assume the next time I go to Renegados I will be eating crow.

Panama Real Estate Warning

I received the following link to an article about buying real estate in Panama. The information contained in this article should give you something to think about. I don’t know the author, nor is this a recommendation to use his service, however, I think the article does point out some of the pitfalls that await unsuspecting investors. The article is called Panama Real Estate Warning – Blood on the Streets.

Carlos Ruiz Brings Home a World Series Ring

The Philadelphia Phillies won the fifth game of the World Series capturing the title 4-1. It has been a while since I watched a complete World Series, but I watched to pull for another of Panama’s athletes to be successful. Carlos Ruiz, the catcher for Philadelphia, played a key role having several key hits and key plays at the plate.

Like Irving Saladino (2008 Olympic gold medalist) and Margarita Henriguez (2008 Latin American Idol winner), Carlos Ruiz (a Chiricano) has captured the spotlight. It has been quite a year for Panamanians. My congratulations go out to Carlos Ruiz and the Philadelphia Phillies – 2008 World Series Champions.
