Normal Today Will Change Tomorrow
If you need to go by the Cable & Wireless office in David, you will find it is closed and is remodeling or doing something. I usually pay my C&W bill in El Rey and get my Gold points, but this time I needed to go by the C&W office.
I found it closed and was directed to go to the CACECHI R.L. Office in the Oteima building. There was a huge line of folks all with C&W bills in their hands. I have no idea where you would have to go to open or close an account, because all they were handling was bill payments.
This is the typical way you find out about changes. You follow your old procedure and find out by accident. Don’t ever expect a warning announcement in your monthly bill.

Hi AS,
Remember to never send any information over the Internet that you don’t want others to know about. I never send passwords or account numbers over the Internet. A secure bank connection is OK because it is encrypted, but email is open for anyone to see. Don’t ever send Passport numbers or ANYTHING that can be used by a thief.
Dumb as I am, I have been paying C&W online for more than three years, and it has been very handy on occasions when I can pull out three years of receipts, paid on time.

I bet you still have to go to the office when your bill isn’t correct. I would pay online if the statement was in my name. Another reason I am considering Cable Onda.
Run don’t walk to Cable Onda and sign up for their internet. You will be very glad you did.
Hi Don:
I also pay my C&W phone bills using my Banco General electronic banking card and it works very well. At least I don’t have to go through the continuous traffic jams which are a pain in the neck.

Hi Clint and Omar. Like I said, I can’t pay via the Internet because the account is not in my name. I am still thinking about changing. I have done other things on an impulse and lived to regret it. Hopefully this won’t be one of those.
Well, dumb No.2 as I am, there was a wedding in Mexico and, on my request, a relative from Panama City e-mailed me his checking account number from Banco General ( same bank I work with), so I sent him the money via Internet. It was very easy for him to withdraw it and gave it to my nephew and bride in Mexico.
Also, though they are not in my name, but in my Dad´s name, I pay all our utilities via Internet, including Cable & Wireless, which we prefer to stay with because we haven´t been able to gather a positive reference consensus on Cableonda . So we say to our selves: “Resignación Cristiana” ( My Sympathies). I mean, This is something we have to accept. Best wishes for the decision, which is ultimately yours.
Regards,

Hi Don Ray: What are the “Gold Points” you get by paying your bills at El Rey. We pay Cable Onda and Union Fenosa there and never get any “points”.
Hi Charlotte. If you pay at the counter next to the bank and give them your blue El Rey “Punto de Oro” card, they will use it when you pay your bill just like they do when you go through the grocery checkout counters. You have to remember to give them the card. They will not ask if you have one.
Hi Don Ray,
Thanks for the advise which I´ll give to my cousin.
Have a nice day,
AS
