Hi Don Ray - am hoping that there is a Panama City Shopping Diva/Divo who reads CC and might be able to answer this one: we’re looking for someplace in PC that has a selection of picture frame stock. You know, the 8-10 ft. lengths of stock used to make custom frames? We’ve exhausted every outlet in David - there weren’t that many to begin with - and anything remotely attractive was sold out. Also hoping to find over-sized mat board. Many thanks from DSD.

Hi Don:
I found several picture frame stores in Panama City, but I don’t know if they sell them at whole sale price. These are the names:
1. Enmarcados Modernos: 224-4387
2. ArtiMarcos: 391-7721
3. Legacy Fine Art: 265-8141, 265-8151
4. Enmarcados Shekinna: 261-4248. 261-8355
5. Galería Arte Consulta: 302-2646, 270-3436
A telephone call could let you know if they have what you’re looking for.
Regards,
Omar.-
Don,
My wife is an artist and the best place we have found to get mat is a place called Artec in P.C.. They have a pretty good selection and also carry a lot of art supplies. They don’t have framing stock but just about everything else. The are directly accross the street from the University National de Panama. Phone 264-7717 or 264-7787.
You can get frame stock at what used to be Panama 98(don’t remember the name they changed to), just accross the street from CreditCorp bank on Ave. Obladia here in David. They have a few good styles.
Sorry, I’m at a loss on this one. before we decided to sell we wanted to get about 25-30 identical picture frames to mount on the walls with a rotating selection of old ads and personal photos, but I couldn’t find anyone who could supply that many nor anyone who could make them..
Sorry I can’t help.
Mike
Hi gentlemen, thank you all for your input. Omar - thank you for all of the contact numbers. Our search thru the yellow pages/internet certainly didn’t give us this many options. Steve, thanks for your tip about Artec - we’ll check them out as well. As for Mega Muebles (formerly Panama98) here in David, we’ve checked their supply thoroughly. Although they have samples of many nice styles on display, the samples are quite often all they have left. The smaller galleries/framing shops here have also been checked out with much the same result. Thanks again!
