Some Bits and Pieces
Jul 21st, 2008 by Don Ray
I am trying to ward off a touch of bronchitis. I went to the doctor yesterday. It was $5 for the consultation, diagnosing bronchitis, and $55 for the three medicines.
Yesterday was Natalie’s last Sunday in David and she got to choose what restaurant to go to. You guessed it. We went to Renegados. The food was as good as always.
I was supposed to help Dario with another class this evening, but I have canceled because of the way I feel.
I have an individual that wants to install Linux and have burned a couple CDs, and just need to figure out how to get them to him.
There is probably more that I am forgetting, but I need to go eat some breakfast and take my medicine.

Hope all is well. I made a visit to Dr. Keyla Miranda de Arias today based on your prior recommendation. She is a charming, professional, and efficient practitioner. Thanks!
Good to hear David and Berta are still putting out the great food - wish we had had more time today, but it was not in the cards.
Hi Wendy. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I am happy the doctor worked out for you.
Take care. Hope you heal soon.
Hi AS. Thanks for the good wishes.
Hi Don:
Please take care.
God bless,
Omar.-
Hi Omar. I am trying. Thanks for dropping by.
Hello Don Ray:
I was looking for an update on your bronchitis. the other 9 readers online may be looking for the same thing… Hope you´re doing better. To very foreginer living in the Tropics: I have witnessed first hand, and also experienced, how cautious we should be when we get bronchial problems. The older we get, the riskier we are. ( This is not to say that I am any younger than you). I remember this from a neumologist I know :
1. “Camiseta sudada: camiseta cambiada.”
T-shirt sweat: T-shirt changed.
2. Avoid drastic temperature changes.
3. If your chest is tight and you have no cough or it is non-productive, you might need ( apart from a sound medical treatment and rest), some sessions of respiratory therapy. I know a qualified experienced respiratory therapist who -once indicated by the doctor- gives you an hour therapy at home, for as many days as necessary until your airways open an clear of phlegm.
4. Drink lots of liquids. Well, I am not a pysician, but an active 21st Century informed patient.
If I could heal the whole mankind…!
AS
Hi AS. I am much better, but still have a ways to go to be back to normal. If I improve as much in the next two days as I did in the last two days, I should be in good shame. Thanks for your concern.
