Just Flocking Around
Jul 4th, 2008 by Don Ray
After reading so much about the FLOCK Browser, in Lingua Franca, by my good friend Omar, I decided to download it. I am going to give it a test for the next week and see how I like it. It is listed as a social browser and provides many functions that are beneficial to bloggers.
I am writing this post using Flock and supposedly, it will post it, in my blog, without my needing to log into WordPress and use the WP editor.
This browser will run under Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux. Downloading was no problem. Installing it in the openSUSE menu took me a little time, but it was something I needed to do anyway.
Now that it is installed, I will say that it is a very clean design. It does have a lot of features, that I think will be handy. The Getting Started Page has several videos that will show you so the neat features that Flock provides for Social Animals, Shutterbugs, Bloggers, Media Junkies and News Hounds.
If you are a blogger, or use some of the other supported services, then Flock might be worth flocking around with to see if you like it.

Hello Don:
I’m glad you decided to get your feet with Flock. The possibility of writing a post in Flock and transferring it directly to WordPress is very exciting. I use it whenever the opportunity arises.
Welcome to the community of Flockers, Don.
Regards,
Omar.-
Hi Omar. I am committed to try it a week and see if it is a keeper or if I will go back to FireFox. Thanks for dropping in.
