Do You Understand About The Money Changers?
Mar 28th, 2008 by Don Ray
If you have a little time to spend, I have video for you to watch.
Actually, you are going to need more than a little time. While researching another subject on the Internet, I came upon this Google Video presenting a lot of history and information on the world banking situation and “The Money Changers”.
I haven’t studied economics or maybe I would have been familiar with this. Color me stupid.
Normally, I wouldn’t put this serious a subject on Chiriquí Chatter. However, on the slight chance that my kids will actually sit down and watch it, I am going to do so.
I really wish the major networks would present this, if they haven’t already done so.
This is not a short 10 minute “YouTube” video. This video is 3 hours and 35 minutes in length. It is like watching a PBS production. It was eye opening for me. However, I am but a mere country boy from Oklahoma.
Pop some corn and mix a cocktail. After watching it, one cocktail won’t be enough.

Hi Don:
I’m also a poor boy from Panama and what I heard is very disturbing. I had no idea, repeat no idea, the Federal Reserve Bank was a private entity whose purpose is to exclusively to make a profit.
I haven’t finished viewing the video, but will do so during the day. As a matter of fact, I will be taking notes to make sure I understand it correctly. As you know, what happens economically in the United States has immediate ramifications in the rest of the globe. Panama is not excluded.
Will get back to you via e-mail with my final comments. Thanks for bringing up this relevant topic.
Regards,
Omar.-
Hi Omar. It is an interesting video. I would think that many people are unaware of the facts that are presented in this documentary.
Wow! I was glued watching the video till 2 am. Fascinating, interesting, factual and I am worried. Much to ponder and review. I agree Don, should be aired. Wonder how much profit they will make from bailing out Bear Sterns?
It is a very informative program. I wish I couldn’t say that I learned a lot, but there was much that I didn’t know.
Hi Don, I’ve been reading your blog occasionally because I’m considering moving to Panama. One of the reasons Panama is attractive to me is because it’s the only country I know of that does not have a central bank. Here is an interesting article on the subject: http://www.mises.org/story/2533.
The mises.org site has tons of great articles, videos, and lectures on economics and monetary policy from a libertarian point of view. One of the videos they’ve made is very similar to the one you posted. It’s called Money, Banking, and the Federal Reserve: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYZM58dulPE
Ron Paul talked a lot about the fed, the gold standard, and monetary policy during his presidential campaign. You may want to search for some of his articles and youtube videos.
