Pizza Hut Update
Mar 3rd, 2008 by Don Ray
Last night I went to Pizza Hut for takeout. I waited to order for 5 minutes. There was no one in front of me, the order taker was busy checking previous orders. I ordered one pizza. From the time I had paid for the pizza until I received the pizza, it took 32 minutes.
Pizza Hut has been open long enough now, that you have to assume that the time is representative of a normal wait. If you have been holding off going to Pizza Hut Pizza, now is as good a time as any. The crowds are continuing to stream in, so just be prepared for a little wait.

don,
thanks for the update. i stopped by this past week for the first time. i was seated and i asked for a beer. i was told that they did not sell beer. what kind of pizza place does not sell beer? i can’t imagen. i asked if they had a takeout menu and was told no, only the house menu, i guess they do not want the call in business. i noticed that they do not have delivery motor-bikes so i guess they not going after the delivery business.
don, if you are still in contact with the nice gentelman manager who you posted his letter could you ask if they have any plans on expanding their service?
thanks
bob
I feel certain they will have call in and delivery when they are able to handle it. Right now, they barely take care of the walk-in trade.
As a former Pizza Hut manager (32 years ago) maybe I should stop in and analyze where the problems are.
With today’s ovens they should be able to get a pizza boxed within 15-20 minutes of the order going to the kitchen. Oh well, patience is certainly needed here in Panama, and planning ahead is certainly something that needs to be learned by many Panamanians here. But it is still a great place to be.
Hi Ron. I have wondered if they have less ovens than is necessary. Maybe they just didn’t plan on having this amount of clients this early. Dominoes will usually take the order and deliver it to my place in 30 minutes or less.
