It may be old, but I only received it today. In fact I received the same email 3 times. Maybe something is wrong with the ACS mail server.

Don,
This is an old alert. Was it issued again? I hear that expats & *locals * are getting tired of crime committed against them. Some are getting more serious about protecting themselves.
I have read in more than 1 place that in CR, a corporate entity may legally purchase & register a firearm. Most people are opting for other lesser threat reduction devices such as pepper spray or a big sharp machete. I'd say that for local travel a machete is the best choice..and at $3 a pop, you cannot buy more protection for the $!
On the other side of it; some people believe arming oneself attracts more strongly the possibility of an incident occurring..
Who knows! Don, live like you're going to die tomorrow!!! That would include buying me & the wife a fat dinner and a few drinks next time I'm in Panama?! If you don't wring my neck first, I'm sure we'd at least have a few laffs!!
