Bobby Fischer - dead at age 64. Do you remember the drama of the Bobby Fischer vs. Boris Spassky chess match. I think it received as much coverage as any competition I can remember. Here is the Washington Post article.

Thanks for the article, Don Ray.
I remember the championship series very well. A television station displayed a drawing of a chess board and provided viewers with every move of every game.
Speaking of games, it just occurred to me that you didn’t mention the Cowboys. (Sorry, couldn’t resist).
Hahahaah. Yes, the Cowboys did pretty good for what they had. They sure would not be able to compete with New England.
Bobby will be remembered as an eccentric individual by the most of America’s Zombie citizenry. He was a real revolutionary in taught. He stayed true to his principals of individual freedom and liberty till his death. Lets honor Bobby’s by supporting a true American…….Ron Paul for President Baby. All you baby boomers out there, don’t leave a fascist country to your descendants. “Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, and intolerable one.” – Thomas Paine
