I do recommend you travel only during the day, like every other travel 'guide' does. The only GIANT potholes I've hit with the car, I hit at night...or during heavy downpours. The Inter American is definitely better on the Panama side-wider, smoother etc. Alternatively, you could just leave the driving to Tracopa.. Don!
