Keeping You Abreast of Stores In David
Jan 17th, 2008 by Don Ray
In preparation for an upcoming trip to Costa Rica to visit some of my extended family, I stopped in a new store in downtown David called Sunset.
It carries clothing for men and women and the prices are very good. Clothing is always a good gift for many in Latin America. As I said, I thought the prices were very good.
Here are a couple photos of the inside of the store.

They had some bins of women’s panties for 25 cents each. For that price, I almost considered buying some for me.
One thing about the store that struck me funny, was the mannequins. Female breast augmentation is becoming common all over the world and even here in David. However, this was the first time I had ever seen mannequins that were this well endowed.

To orient you to the location of Sunset, in the following photo, Sunset is to my back.

If you stop in, tell them they were featured in Chiriquí Chatter.

Hey DON!
You coming over for a visit?! See, you do like it here! I knew it..! I’ll be keeping an eye out..and we’ll leave the lights on, just like Motel 8!
Seriously, have a safe trip. Keep your eyes on that road if you’re driving. We almost saw a guy get wiped right out by veering head on into a bus on the way back last month! How he managed to regain control of his car in time was sure a testament to the positive attributes of adrenalin release! Scary!
Bienvenidos!

Hi KK. Yes, I will be visiting before too long. I hope to take a couple photos of bridges I didn’t take photos of last time. Hope the holes in the bridges haven’t gotten any larger or my car might fall through.
Don!
We got bridges here?! Hell! I’ll stop bringing the hip waders & the canoe with me in the car! Thanks for the heads up!
I do recommend you travel only during the day, like every other travel ‘guide’ does. The only GIANT potholes I’ve hit with the car, I hit at night…or during heavy downpours. The Inter American is definitely better on the Panama side-wider, smoother etc.
Alternatively, you could just leave the driving to Tracopa..
Were I am going, Tracopa doesn’t go.
