Last weekend, while my extended family was here from Costa Rica, we went for an outing to La Barranca. It was a beautiful day. Here is a photo of the kiddos in front of the ostriches.
Here are a couple photos of some of the other caged birds.
They used to have a beautiful peacock, but I was told he had died.
You can see from the following photos that the dry season is here and the water level has gone down.
There was still enough water for these fellow to be fishing. They didn’t use a pole, just a line thrown and held by hand.
There is a play area for the kiddos. Here is a photo of a little play house.
We went in the open area restaurant to eat.
The menu is more extensive that you might expect.
While we were waiting for the food to come, the kiddos used the playground equipment.
The food came just in time. I was starved. Here are the meals we ordered.
These three were chicken.
Mine was a pepper steak.
This was chicken fried rice.
Everyone enjoyed their meal. Another great day with good company and plenty of food. It just doesn’t get any better than this.
