Jubilado Calendar for 2008
Jan 14th, 2008 by Don Ray
I had a reader send me the following 2008 Jubilado Calendar. These dates are important because the lines at many banks, Union Fenosa, Cable and Wireless and in grocery stores, tend to be longer during these days. The reader that sent this said that the downtown Romero’s gives a 5% discount during these days.
I don’t know if it still does, but Super Baru used to give a discount during these days as well.
I try to pay all bills prior to these dates to avoid the long lines.

Thanks to the reader that sent me this calendar.

I have been playing with this award ” You make my day” today and I want give it definitely to you my first blog friend!
If you have time and energy for that, you can see it from my post
of today.
My laptop is too old, I give up with it !
Leena,
How sweet of you to think of me. I will see If I can continue the thread, even though I typically don’t do that sort of thing.
I guess your last remark was related to Linux and your laptop. Sometimes on very old equipment it iis more difficult.
Hi Don:
All Supermercados Romero offer a jubilado discount of 5% during the Jubilados Paydays. To receive the discount, the jubilado has to present his jubilado card. However, the 5% discount is not applicable to certain products such as liquor, cigarrettes, meat, poultry. It is applicable to deli, canned goods, fruits and veggies, cleanning supplies and products, fish, bakery, rice and beans (all grains), soaps and detergents, etc. The jubilado discount on pharmacy is applicable everyday of the month and it is for 10% and if you buy a full pack of medicines it is 12% discount.
Greetings,
Lilia
Hi Lilia. Thanks for teh added information.
Hi Don, I try to manage a community calendar here in Boquete. It is on boquete.org and once a month in the Bajareque Times. Little by little I find more dates to be aware of…but I do not know what the Jubilado Calendar refers to??? I would love more information. I do put David Events on the calendar when someone notifys me.
Thanks, Erin (calendarlady@boquete.org)
P.S. Enjoy your site.
These are days related to the jubilado pay days.
Great! Lets all stock up on toilet paper and Depends now. Don’t forget to ask for your free pack of Dentadine.
Speak for yourself. No Depends needed here and I don’t know what Dentadine is. I get my TP at PriceSmart. You can’t have too much TP.
