The New Year Is Here
Jan 2nd, 2008 by Don Ray
Now that the new year has completed its first day, many will be putting together a list of new year’s resolutions. In doing that, the thing to consider, is what will secure the happiness of yourself and those that are really important to you. Some lists will contain losing a few pounds or quiting smoking, or cleaning out the closet, etc…
The thing I think should be a part of everyone’s resolution list is to live in the present and not take anything for granted.
As you go through the process of considering what is important for 2008, re-read this past post.

Don,
I was thinking about you there in warm Panama as we reached 17 degrees F last night. Oklahoma reported the most rain in one year during 2007. Some areas got 54-57 inches. Usually around 30-32 is our annual rainfall. Of course that was not true of the panhandle and the NW part of the state. We had plenty here and no floods. We have had two ice storms and you probably heard that there were 600,000 customers out of power for over a week. This was mostly in Tulsa and OKC areas. We will be in the 50’s later this week. The weather is always changing in Oklahoma. I look forward to the new year and some more traveling. My little boys were here over the holidays and it is quite here now as they returned last Saturday to Iowa.
Hi Glenda,
I don’t think I could tolerate that cold weather any more. Our dry season has just started and with the change comes a lot more wind. The temperatures will rise got about the next 3 - 4 months and then the rain will start again.
