The part that expires on December 31 is the "Buy One, Give One" program, where you buy two for $400.00 and one gets sent to a foreign country, the other to you or someone you designate. No coordination required for this one. 

I will contact the OLPC organization and see if it is possible to have the laptops sent to a private organization for distribution and post their answer here and on my website. I would NOT be in favor of contributing if the laptops are to be sent to the government for distribution. It's all too easy to imagine them being handed out to political supporters or given to anyone but the children who most need them.
