AstroVision - Que Pasa

Channel 54 is so pixilated that it is absolutely unwatchable. I think I am going to have to consider switching to Cable Onda in January.

Hi Don,
I tried the link to Panama Journal and then to read the full article, but it would not come up.
I continue to enjoy all your daily entries!
There was no continue reading onb this post. It was a one liner. I am wondering it you clicked on the Panama Journal Tag and it would just bring up all posts in that category.
Maybe I should have listed this as a rant.
Don’t expect better service from Cable Onda. There is only CNN and Fox for English news, and Fox is frequently unavailable. I get more snowstorms than Canada, and it is a rare day the something is not hosed. There is no channel that lists the program schedule and the one online is grossly inacurate. On the “plus” side there are five channels that mostly rebroadcast or mirror local channels. It’s about what you would expect if a high school ran a cable system. Oh, did I mention that there are at least two channels that show soft porn daily.

Hi Henry. Do you use Cable Onda for Internet as well. And if so, how does it do?
I use Clueless and Worthless ADSL, which, to be fair, is more reliable than electricity or water. For several months now, there has been a very annoying latency in C&W’s network that makes my 1 MGbit connection act more like 128 MB. Download/upload speeds are normal, but I experience delays of seconds (not to mention timeouts) before the downloads start. My friends who have Cable Onda are less than satisfied with their service, as well. It’s a case of “better the devil you know” with me.
Henry
You may be right. If I had to have one bad provider, I would prefer it was not my Internet provider. I can put up with a little bad TV, but I want as good of performance as I can get with the Internet.
henry,
when i lived in panama city i had cable onda, i thought it was pretty good. my cable fed through a box and not directly from the wall. i had friends who did not have the box and they did not recieve as many channels nor had on-screen program directory. my one big beef was that their sap didn’t work on espn or fox sports.
is your connection through a box next to your tv?
Bob,
No, AstroVision doesn’t require a box.
Astrovision and Cable Onda
I have heard that Cable Onda has purchased Astrovision,
can anyone shed any light on this?
Have not heard that. I will check when I pay my next bill. Doesn’t seem like a good business deal to me. All they have to do is wait a little more and there will be less to take.
Hi Don, my wife’s family has cable onda. Since I have been here (8 days) I was able to watch a lot of NFL games. (The Thursday night NFL Network game as well the Saturday night Cowboys game) On Sundays ESPN shows 2 full games as well. It was like I was back home in Boston. They shows NBA games as well. The clarity of the picture is good as well. I can’t comment on Internet but for TV they are good in my opinion.
i have a complaint about something. i was wondering if its correct to carry people on the cars of the company, because many times i saw people who don’t belong to the enterprise riding on the cars. i just a observation. please accept my apologies if i do anything wrong.
Regards!
Maybe Astrovision will see your comment.
