Every morning I have several emails. I respond to any and all emails I receive. There are a couple of problems I would like to mention.
When you fill in the contact form with your email address, double check to make sure that you have written it correctly. I often reply and within seconds receive a messge stating that the email address is unknown.
Another problem is the one I just had, I received the following message which I have edited.
This report relates to a message you sent with the following header fields:
Message-id: <200711220659.38908.donray@chiriquichatter.net>
Date: Thu, 22 Nov 2007 06:59:38 -0500

Subject: Re: Chiriqui Chatter Chat - ContactYour message cannot be delivered to the following recipients:
Recipient address: ******ers@shaw.ca
Reason: Over quota
It doesn’t bother me, that the time I take to reply was wasted, but I don’t like knowing that someone didn’t get a reply and may think I just ignored the email.
Double check your address and make sure that your in box is not full.

I just give up on trying to figure out why the email doesn’t go through. I know some people who never check their email so I wonder why they have it unless it is to fill up somebody elses email boxes. LOL
Hi Abe. I understand what you are saying. However if I take the time, to answer a question that someone took the time to ask, I would like to know that I made every effort to get the response delivered.
Hi, Don;
I think sometimes what happens is that people use something like Hotmail or Yahoo as a “cut-out” email address. They use this address for communications with people they really don’t know as a way of protecting the “true” address that they use among close friends and for essential business.
This isn’t a bad policy, but they may not remember to check that email’s inbox often enough.
Just a thought..
Mike
Hi Mike. The problems I see the most are from a misspelled email address. Yahoo, Hotmail and Gmail have enormous mail boxes these days and do a pretty adiquate job of filtering spam. Some better than others.
The problem today appears to be a direct email provided by the individuals Internet provider. A lot of times individual accounts allow less messages that Yahoo, Hotmail, and Gmail.
I know my direct email address would fill up in a couple of days, if I didn’t keep it drained.
don…
i sometimes get the ‘’sorry can’t deliver your message” message yet the recipient receives the message (???). i seems to happen with certain people, some on public puters, others on personal machines.
one little software that i like alot is msgtag. it tells you the second that your message is opened by your intended receiver tho i guess it doesn’t work with web based email. i’ve been using it for several years and it’s pretty nice. check it out. http://www.msgtag.com
Hi Norm. Good idea. The world is not perfect and certainly, the Internet isn’t.
Both Gmail & hotmail have the capability to synchronize with Outlook for those that use Outlook. Yahoo does not have this capability yet, but I suspect it will shortly. As soon as it does I will integrate my Yahoo email address with Outlook.
