How About Those Patriots

I only got to see the last half of the game, but it appeared that it was a pretty good game. In the end, the Patriots really did a job on the Cowboys. Still I thought it was a pretty good game.
On another front, I have really gotten involved with the Cinderella story of the Colorado Rockies this year. They are starting to make everyone believe that they are World Series candidates and even good enough to win.
Last night I went to the movies for the first time in I don’t know when. It had been long enough, that I had forgotten that jubilado price is $1.25. We watched a movie called “White Noise”. It was a thriller, supernatural type of movie. It was a good thing it was so cheap to watch, because you don’t have to expect much when you are only paying $1.25.

Hi Don Ray:
Thanks for mentioning it and giving Patriot fans the chance to gloat, but I’ll take a pass on that realizing that the Red Sox Nation is faced with a hard road ahead.
You’ll be amused by my thinking regarding the Dallas coach. As we got near game day I was thinking that it was hard to believe Dallas couldn’t come up with a coach younger than Bum Philips. Oops, during the game the announcers pointed out Bum Phiips in the stands rooting for his son Wade. As we get older, we do tend to get the generations confused.
Hi Tom. I have to tell you that I am happy to see Wade doing well. He and his dad both had a good personality and one that is much easier to like than Parcells, who I thought was one of the most arrogant people on earth.
But then. I was always a Landry fan, so I am hard to please.
Don Ray,
I had commented last year that you might want to keep your eye on Manny Corpus, a Panamanian baseball player with the Rockies. He took over the closer job around the All Star break and is doing very well. As are the Rockies…they have now won 20 of their last 21 games. Who would have guessed?
Rob
Hi Rob. The Rockies are really an exciting team right now. Their 20 ot of 21 is nothing less than incredible. The are really fun to watch. I am pulling for them to go all the way.
I thought the Kentucky upset win over LSU in overtime was one of the best college games ever.
Don Ray: Cinderella hasn’t as yet met Manny and Big Popi. Alas, as usual, the Red Sox Nation is a bit nervous. It is just about certain that the Rockies are going to be meeting someone, but Cleveland is a formidable roadblock for Boston.
John: From what I’ve heard, I think you may be correct, but I missed it.
Would be difficult, however, for it to have been better than the Boise State win over Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl this year.
Hi John. I am sorry to say I missed that one.
Tom, It will be interesting to see the meeting of the CRs with whoever.
