How About Those Cowboys!!!
Oct 9th, 2007 by Don Ray
The game last night was so exciting, that even watching it on Spanish ESPN didn’t bother me. I had given the game up as a loss, when the Cowboys were down by 8 with only a few minutes to go.
Then they made a big drive and with about 20 second left they scored and only needed to score a two-point extra point to go into be over time. However, a pass, that looked like it could have been caught, wasn’t and they were down by two points with about 20 seconds to go.
Then they made an onside kick and recovered it. I couldn’t believe my eyes. They got it into field goal range and with 2 seconds to go, they kicked the field goal. But wait, Buffalo had called a time out and they had to kick again. I can’t even imagine the pressure the kicker must have been feeling. The ball was snapped and, once again, it went through the uprights.
Dallas 25 – Buffalo 24
Way to go Cowboys. It has been a while since I felt that they were actually fielding a team. Eat your heart out Parcells, you pompous clod.

This is football you’re writing about, right?
I thought so.
In a radio post-game rehash, an announcer with 29 years of reporting football under his belt said he had never seen anything like that string of events/plays that led to the one-point victory. Wish I had seen it.
Yes, it was one of the most bizarre games I have ever seen.
Dallas has played Buffalo 10 times, winning 7 of them. Two of them were Super Bowl wins. On this game it was amazing on how many times the momentum went back and forth. This game showed this year’s Cowboy’s team has some character.
Hi John. If Dallas had not thrown as many interceptions as they did, then it could have been a blow-out for them.
So, Don Ray, how do you like those Patriots?
Well, the odds makers are leaning toward the Patriots. Time will tell. I just enjoy it if it is a good game, no matter who wins.
I go back a long time routing for the Cowboys. My first game was watching “Dandy” Don Meredith lead the Cowboys against the Chicago Bears. I don’t remember who won, but it was probably the Bears, since the Cowboys never won many game back then.
At least then it was a fun game to watch. The players played because they loved the game and not for the money. It has changed a lot and not for the better. Like many things I could mention.
