Free Burma
Oct 4th, 2007 by Don Ray
I am joining other International bloggers in supporting the peaceful revolution in Burma. This action is a request for freedom and shows our sympathy for these people who are fighting their cruel regime without weapons. These Bloggers will refrain from posting to their blogs on October 4.
Today there will be no witty one-liner. This is the only post for today. I would request at all who read this post, visit http://www.free-burma.org .
Thank you for your understanding.

I am very pessimistic about the situation in Burma. I believe that the situation is much worse than we know. I support this action to request freedom although I don’t believe it will accomplish much if anything. For another opinion see Wretchard’s response to an email purported from a Burmese man making the Internet rounds. See:

I took a part too, it`s better than nothing anyway.
Have a good day, Don Ray!
Hello Don:
I will also express my solidarity for the people in Burma. We know in Panama what it is to have a repressive government during the Noriega regime. I will not write anything today.
I hope the United Nation forces a freedom issue in this struggling country.
Regards,
Omar.-
Hi Rob, Leena and Omar. I agree that things in Burma look very bleak. However, I also believe that this shows that the world is watching and that may be a beginning.
