Diet Drinks in David

I almost posted the fact that El Rey had Diet Dr. Pepper (Cherry – Vanilla) the other day. However it was so good that I didn’t want there to be a rush to buy it up. As it turns out, it was only in the store one day. I don’t know why they don’t do a better job of identifying things that sell well and replenish them more often. I don’t expect to see Diet Dr. Pepper in David, again this year.
I also bought Diet A&W Root Beer the other day. It is staying on the shelf longer, so I guess root beer isn’t a big draw down here.
I am not sure that this new Diet Coke will be a hit. I think I will just leave it on the shelf if I see it in David. Let me know if you try it.

Well a lot of folks use Coke as a marinade.
Cute joke, but that thing about ‘on the shelf today, maybe not tomorrow’ is too true to be funny. I learned, by accident, many years ago why so many popular items are so often out of stock. I was shopping in the Army and Air Force Exchange in Corozal and asked a clerk why there were no Veeblefetzers (Sorry I don’t remember what I was looking for) and was told that they were just too hard to keep in stock. I’ve observed many times since that total lack of understanding between demand and stock levels.
