Typical Driving Advisory
Aug 7th, 2007 by Don Ray
When you drive in Panama, you have to keep your mind on driving and your eyes on the road. Yesterday I was in the Plaza El Terronal parking lot next to the future HSBC bank and I came upon this obstacle.

It is common in Panama for an open hole to have a stick in it as the sole notification of danger. This is true on all highways and as we see here in parking lots. A closer look at the hole shows that it can do some real damage if you were not paying attention and hit it. Note that the board in the hole is barely visible. It comes up a few inches above the driving surface.

Don: When we saw this two weeks ago, it was about 6 inches taller….
Well, you know with time some things get smaller.
