More ruminations on the video.

I wasn't sure at first, who to root for. The cape buffalo way outnumbered the lions and after all, the lions don't have a Safeway or an El Rey to shop at. But then when I saw the lions pass up the big guys and go after the toddler, I started rooting strongly for the buffalo.

However when the alligators joined in, I thought - no way! This is like a bad version of tag-team wrestling. I ended up hoping that the buffalo would push the lions into the waterhole and the lions and the alligators could duke it out. I think the alligators would win that one. Jaw clamp and roll, you know. I doubt that lions can hold their breath underwater very long.

My wife said she's for the lions because as predators, they have the hardest time getting a regular meal.

Now all we need is someone in the parking lot selling hats and jackets and pennants with Lion, Cape Buffalo and Alligator on them, complete with team colors.

I can just see the lions sitting around later trying to rebuild their 'pride' and discussing how they need to refine their strategy next time and figure how to keep from being outflanked like that.

Hi Gordo - I see you have your detective boots on. I will have to try that and then see what music he has.

If you click on the Grisham web designers name (Jefferson Rabb) at the bottom of the page, you'll see that he also composes music. I assume he probably wrote this piece.

Yes, I thought it was great. I would like to visit the Kruger Park in Africa.

I had forgotten that I had the Grisham site open in another tab and I kept think, "I really like the music they added to the video"> Talk about short term memory.

Don, I'm glad to see that you enjoyed the "Battle at Kruger" video so much. It seemed to have everything - surprise, drama, tragedy, rescue, revenge and triumph with the foes vanquished. Very interesting considering that all of the "actors" were wild animals and no one was directing them except for their own passions, instincts and hunger.

I went back and watched with your suggested music as a soundtrack. You're right, it did enhance the viewing experience - very interesting how it seemed to fit the video so well. I looked in vain on the Grisham site for information on the music (composer, artist) but could not find anything. Still an interesting juxtaposition of image and sound.
