My Panama Lawyer Blog
Jun 9th, 2007 by Don Ray
I am getting tired of the of posting about tourist visas and vaccinations, but I know it is of importance to many who live here using the tourist visa and for many who would like to move to Panama for their permanent retirement home.
This morning a link to a site called mypanamalawyer was posted on one of the Yahoo groups sites. While I try to avoid any site that has a tie to a firm in Panama because I typically see them as wanting to build up clients, I found this blog’s post useful, and it doesn’t appear to be representing any particular firm.
The post called “Term of Tourist Visa reduced to 30 days” contains links to the Panama government site of the National Directorate of Immigration and Naturalization. There are several interesting areas of information in the NDIN site that had changed since the last time I had looked at it.
One of the areas I found of interest was on Residence Permits. This site shows all permits granted and denied since September of 2005. You can search the permits by nationality, lawyer, approved or disapproved, date or a combination of all.
Under Services Offered you can find every visa that may be applied for and what the requirements are.
I will leave it to you to search out the areas you are most interested in.

Know that reprinting all that can be a job that will send you over the edge. But those of us who are getting ready to move to Panama are really thankful. I read all the websites and groups. This is one I return to.
