Have you tried the &lt;a href="http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/" rel="nofollow"&gt;Ultimate Boot CD&lt;/a&gt; to try to diagnose your problems?  There are some good utilities on this disk.  I used it to diagnose my wife's dying hard drive a few months ago.</description>
