My husband and I had a drug testing business. Sometimes an employee refused to take the test, turned in his badge and voluntarily resigned. Sure, he was eligible for unemployment then with no pesky urine or hair tests to muck up the situation.

You're right Don about Congress needing to pass the test; they are the ones spending money in vastly greater amounts than what they spend on welfare which doesn't amount to a drop in the bucket (pun intended).

As for welfare, the media and people in general always pick on the poor, but welfare for the rich and the middle class is a huge part of America's
GDP. Just one small example: we hear so much in the United States about the energy crunch and the need to grow corn for ethanol, but there is a huge source of cheap ethanol available to us in Brazil. Why don't we import it? High tariffs. The American consumer therefore subsidizes agribusiness which is putting great effort into corn-based ethanol, which is far less productive than sugar based. Meanwhile, the consumer also pays higher prices for food due to the competition for corn.

My personal opinion is that Democrat or Republican does not matter. They all have so much money that they can not relate to those they claim to represent.

It's indeed at least informative to know that the poster of that e-mail is able to urinate yet that doesn't necessarily indicate, as Ron assumes, that the poster is a member of the Republic Party.

Oh well, some folks can even turn a bodily function into a
qualification for political preference.

'Scuse me, I'm going over to a urologist web site to see if they have any postings about Chiriquí. (:-)

I think it is just too bad that both houses on congress don't have to pass a drug test as well.
