Let The Fun Begin

I was out this afternoon and the new traffic light was activated. I sat and observed it for about 30 minutes. I was amazed that no accidents happened while I was watching. In thirty minutes there were two cars that ran the red light on the one-way street while the two way street had a green light. Luckily, the drivers on the two way street were expecting it and stopped on green.
Then I also saw about four cars stop on the two way street on red and then proceed on red without waiting fro the green to come. It is just a matter of time before an accident happens.
If the David transit police were smart, they would be sitting a ways from the light and start giving out tickets. Hand out a couple $50 fines and the news will get around fast, maybe even faster than the news of an accident.
If you are in that area, I advise proceeding with caution no matter what the color of light is in front of you.

One step at a time Don. Progress tends to come slowly…
Yes, but they are missing such a good revenue opportunity. In less than 30 minutes, I saw at least $250 worth of tickets.
I’m sure they’ll catch on quick once they figure it out
One would think.

I just returned from Boquete after a wonderful visit. On this past Saturday morning I drove down to David to the Airport and decided to stop in my attorney’s office to say Hi. Lo and behold, I almost ran the stoplight. It is right on his corner. Which makes it on the same corner as the immigration office.
Progress??
On another subject I was told at the Airport that Copa will begin their David flights in OCTOBER. That will be really great for Susan and I.
I really appreciate the effort that you make to keep this exchange going. It has been very helpful to us in knowing what is happening in Chiriqui.
Hi Shrader. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. Sounds like you will take the new COPA flight before me. Let me know how it works out.
