The trees are growing new leaves . Soon, we will have a rich green carpet in our yards. Summer (or "verano" as well call it) is nice for a while, but after a few months its too hot and the continuous fires brings a rain of ashes into our homes which filters through the windows and under the doors. In the US I think the rain is associated with preventing people from doing something they want to do. And we north Americans tend to think that rainy season means it rains all the time, as in the Pacific Northwest; but as you know, that's not the case at all!
